In the Vancouver Playhouse, there is wheelchair seating on the Orchestra level with special âEqual Accessâ seating which provides wheelchair spaces adjacent to regular theatre seats, located in the Right Orchestra at row 15 For those who would rather not use the stairs, an elevator in the main lobby operates between the Main Lobby and the Balcony. Hearing Devices: For those requiring hearing assistance, complimentary receivers for the Sennheiser Infrared Transmission System are available at no charge at the Lobby Coat Check. Quantities are limited. A valid driverâs licence or credit card is required. Lastly, binoculars may be rented at the Main Lobby Coat Check.
Wheelchair and companion seating is configured with a 1 to 1 arrangement in the Orchestra Level (Right side). Companion seats are located in the row directly in front of the wheelchair area. Additional companion seats may be purchased in sections nearby. Seating is located in a designated area at the top of Orchestra Right side sections with wheelchair spaces in Row 15 & the companion seats in Row 14. The main lobby is completely accessible with entry from the main entrance doors. Wheelchair accessible washrooms are on the orchestra (main lobby) level. Depending on show configuration and production staging, some seats may not be open for all events. Accessible parking available with an accessible parking decal. To reserve call (604) 665-3072 and have your ticket info ready (show, date & seat location) at least 24 hours in advance. Reservations may be placed Mon-Fri 9am - 4:30pm. For weekend & Monday shows, call by Friday at 4:30pm.
