Even as a student, he was an advocate for change—in 2013, he founded Banned4Life , a movement that played a key role in ending the FDA's lifetime ban on gay men donating blood.
After graduation, Nurse Blake worked in Level 1 trauma centers across the country , but an unexpected passion for social media transformed his career. What began as funny Facebook videos to de-stress quickly went viral, earning him nearly 4 million followers and a devoted fanbase of nurses and nursing students worldwide. The New York Times even hailed him as a “genuine phenomenon.”
