About the Event

Calling all participants ages 12-14! *
If you're curious about the dynamic world of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts & design, and math), then the Girls and STEAM Summit, presented by STEMCELL Technologies, is the place for you!
Join us on Saturday, November 15 for a free, action-packed day of workshops, hands-on activities, sessions with STEAM mentors, a showcase, and an amazing keynote presentation.
*While the terms “women” and “girls” are used in our event, we invite participants and mentors who identify as women, girls, trans, genderqueer, non-binary, two-spirit, and gender questioning.
How can I register?
Science World has a 2-part registration system for this event.
Step 1: Please sign up using the Eventbrite link on this page. Please create one registration per child
Step 2: Once you have filled out the Eventbrite, you will be contacted via email to complete a second form.
Participants will be fully registered for the event only when both steps have been completed. Participants cannot join the day if only 1 step is completed. Please note, if you wish to register multiple children, please create one registration for each child.
Deadline for completing both registration steps is 9am, Monday 27 October.
What can I expect on the day of the event?
• The Summit will run from 8am-4pm
• All attendees will receive a light breakfast, lunch, and snacks
• During the public showcase (which will run from 9:30 am-5 pm), all Science World guests will be able to engage with local STEAM organisations to learn about the work they do.
• After the event attendees will take home Girls and STEAM swag and accessories
Science World will be open to the public on the day of the Summit with higher than usual attendance to be expected.
Photographers and media will be present at the event, but attendees can indicate on their registration form if they do not consent to Science World taking photos or videos of them during the event.
