Join us Sept 13, 9-11am for a seed-saving workshop with expert Bob Wildfong. Learn collection, storage, and pollination. $25. Pre-register!
Seed Saving
Learn the art and science of seed saving at Doon Heritage Village. Under the guidance of Bob Wildfong, the museum's Heritage Gardener - an accomplished seed producer and one of Canada's experts on heritage seeds. Participants will learn how to collect seeds from garden plants, and clean and store them for planting the following spring. Methods for controlling pollination and proper seed harvesting will be demonstrated. Participants will be invited to gather seeds from the museum's heritage gardens.
$25.00 per person plus HST. Member's discount applies. Capacity limited. Pre-registration required.
