SESSIONS:

- The Billings Method: Natural Family Planning - Maria Redecop

Since 2005, I have been teaching Natural Family Planning (NFP) using the Billings Ovulation Method, a simple, evidence-based approach that helps women and couples understand their fertility naturally. This method is based on observing changes in cervical mucus to identify fertile and infertile phases of the menstrual cycle, allowing couples to achieve or postpone pregnancy without artificial contraception. I am passionate about educating and empowering women and couples to take control of their reproductive health. My teaching approach focuses on clarity, compassion, and practicality, making fertility awareness accessible and easy to understand for people from all walks of life. I provides personalized guidance, helping couples build confidence in recognizing their body's natural signs of fertility. With years of experience, I have helped numerous couples strengthen their relationships through shared responsibility in family planning. I believes that understanding fertility is not just about achieving pregnancy but also about respecting and appreciating God's natural design of the human body.

- Say Yes to the D.R.E.S.S - Melissa Wiebe

hehe.. no. We're not talking about wardrobe here 😉 not my expertise. DRESS in this session is going to refer to making worthwhile changes to build a lifestyle that will better your health in every area. Physically, mentally, emotionally - our health is valuable and we can make massive, positive differences in it, assuming we are willing to make the necessary changes. In my line of work, I use clients functional lab results to create for them a DRESS protocol to help them get to the root cause of their issues and bring their bodies back into balance - however there is so much a person can do without having to do labs. We will be going over some of the ideas, swaps and habits you can take on in the areas of (D)iet, (R)est, (E)xercise, (S)tress Management and (S)upplements. The kind of DRESS that will always flatter you. 🥰

- The Intentionally Simplified Life - Sherry Peters No one would say that they wanted a chaotic and hurried life. But let's be honest—between the endless appointments, never-ending to-do lists, and all the things we should be doing, life can feel like it's running at full speed, leaving us in the dust. So how do we hit the brakes and stop everything from being so... complicated? The secret? It's all about making intentional choices, finding routines that work for us, and getting crystal clear on what truly matters. In this session, I'm excited to share the lessons I've learned along the way—and to give you some hands-on exercises that will help you start simplifying your own life.

- Living a Life of Welcome - Sherry Peters We were created to be relational; it's one way we reflect Christ's character and relationships can be a huge source of encouragement. But how do we get started with being open, honest, and welcoming others into our life? What if we've been hurt in the past or it just feels too hard? Let's talk about it! I'm looking forward to sharing what God has been teaching me over the years about being relational and hosting a conversation where we can discuss all things people-y!

- Anxiety & Depression: Navigation Techniques for Today's Mental Health Crisis - Maria Friesen Part of the problem with today's mental health crisis is the fact that there's so much information available to us. Searching for answers can actually cause feelings of anxiety and depression to get worse. We're bombarded with advice, tips, suggestions, what to do, what not to do, what we're doing wrong, how we're messing up our children, who we should talk to, who we should not talk to... all of this noise can get overwhelming! The last thing I want to do is add to that noise. Rather, my goal in this session is to help you find your own mental health “GPS” so you can feel more in control. We will begin the session by looking at the *foundation* of mental health (what exactly is anxiety and depression?); we will do some deeper *exploration* of the topic (does it come from our genes or our environment?); and lastly, we will look at the practical *application* of what we have learned (how can I use this information to help myself, my friend, or family that's struggling?). My prayer is that you are able to leave this session feeling encouraged and empowered to continue fighting the fight to better your life. You are worth it.

- However Imperfectly: Creating Connections in the Chaos - Tonni Giesbrecht

In this talk, we'll explore how to build meaningful connections that sustain and encourage us, how great stories can bring learning to life, and how to let go of perfection in favour of steady, faithful growth. We'll also talk about the unique joys and challenges of homeschooling with toddlers underfoot—finding rhythms that nurture both older and younger children while embracing the beautiful, messy reality of learning together as a family.

- Simplifying Finances - Lisa Klassen

What do you want your future to look like? Most of us can answer this question easily in terms of marriage, children, property, health. But what about your finances? Does it make you uncomfortable or intimidated to think of your financial future? It doesn't have to be! I would love to help you cast a vision for your finances, and talk about easy steps to get you on track and stay on track with your goals.

- Birds & Bees - Mary Flo Ridley & Megan Michelson

We know that just the idea of talking to your kids about sex is terrifying. It might be the most dreaded part of parenting! You probably don't have fond memories of your parents having “the talk” with you or maybe it didn't even happen! Your kids need and deserve something better than an awkward conversation at an awkward age. Okay so now what? How? We are here to help. We created the Birds & Bees course to give you practical strategies and exact phrases to use with your kids. Put fear aside and be the confident parent your family needs. Kids are supposed to be curious and ask questions, that's part of healthy child development. Of course, just because it's normal doesn't mean it's easy to answer them! Birds & Bees offers simple, practical strategies to help you tackle the talk and become the loving authority on this topic. We will help you: •Eliminate fear and anxiety •Feel confident and equipped for conversations •Get a game plan for your family •Establish trusting relationships and open communication •Raise educated and empowered kids

- Building Confidence with First Aid & CPR - Laura MacNeil

What to expect from this session: •A full demonstration of infant rescue from “Sally choking, to passing out, 911 call, airway relieving, solo CPR, medics arriving, transfer of care” •Time to feel and work with infant manikins •A full demonstration of a toddler drowning; you hear your dog barking in the backyard, you look out the upstairs window to see what the dog is barking at, you see your neighbours 20month old in their backyard swimming pool. •Introduce all the large manikins to the attendees, give them time to feel and work with the larger manikins •Discuss special circumstances in CPR, pregnant, bleeding, difficult locations •Discussions of above demonstrations •Question period for anything CPR, AED or First Aid related

- Nurturing Pelvic Health During Your Fourth Trimester - Ibbie Afolabi If you are expecting, had a baby recently, are hoping to have another baby soon, or provide support and care to new moms, this session is for you. In our time together, you will understand the ins and outs of pelvic and abdominal health in your first 6 weeks after having a baby (vaginally or via Caesarean). Learn what you need to purchase and prep for postpartum; what symptoms are normal vs. not normal in early postpartum; how to care for your perineum, pelvic floor, and belly following childbirth; the connection between pelvic, mental, and emotional health; tips for resuming intimacy, daily mama life and how it shapes pelvic health; and much more.

- So, Mama, you wanna get back into exercise? - Ibbie Afolabi So you want to get back in shape after having a baby, but it seems there's so much against you: the baby's not sleeping, you have to chase the toddler, help your oldest with homework, do the dishes, the laundry, the making of meals. There's literally no time in the day! Plus there's the pesky problem of leaking a little every time you run outside with your kids... I'm here to share good news that with a little bit of planning and intentionality, you can do this. You can get moving again and have fun while you're at it! This session is geared towards moms of young children who desire to move, exercise, and attend to their physical fitness but aren't sure what to do or how to do it! We will cover: the link between postpartum health and your future health; recommended guidelines and timelines for return to exercise; pelvic health signs, symptoms, and sensations to be aware of as you get moving; the many forms of postnatal fitness available to you; understanding your "why" for exercise; the importance of mindset and motivation for movement; practical tips for organizing and prioritizing your fitness; how to establish a routine that is feasible and sustainable; my favourite postpartum exercise workouts; and much more.
