About the Event
Presentation of new soundscape compositions by students of the Community Music Schools of Toronto
The Story of Us is a program where students can learn about wide world of Soundscape composition. The students learn how to record the everyday sounds around them and craft them into their stories and ultimately weave them together into the story of their community, the Story of Us.
Discover: The wide world of soundscape composition and experimental music production
Listen: To the environment, the community, the history of Canadian Composers
Play: with your everyday sounds and craft them into a work of art.
Come join us in the final presentation of the new soundscapes created by the students at the CMC.
These sessions were facilitated by composer and educator Chris Thornborrow and the Community Music Schools of Toronto and was generously supported by the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
