During this class you will learn how the use of rain barrels can conserve water, save money by reducing the use of potable water in landscapes (lower utility bills), and reduce stormwater runoff by storing and diverting runoff from impervious surfaces (like roofs). Practical tips on the construction and installation of rain barrels will be provided. After the workshop, we will have a Q/A session with the instructor, our Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ community educator, and a Sarasota County Air & Water Quality representative. Bring any questions you might have concerning UF/IFAS Extension or the environment.
