About the Event

Join our one-day workshop with Frank Yiannas former US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Deputy Commissioner for Food Policy and Response.

As food safety standards and awareness rise, we're happy to host an offline one-day workshop with Frank Yiannas, a former Deputy Commissioner at the US FDA and Vice President at a leading global retailer, to enhance food safety cultures within organizations. This interactive session will provide insights into assessing and improving food safety practices, influenced by Frank's extensive experience and teachings from his published works. Participants will gain practical tools and real-world applications to manage food safety risks effectively and prepare for future challenges in their careers.

By the end of the workshop, attendees will walk away with a host of new tools in their toolbox and be better able to:

- Identify the core attributes of an effective food safety culture.

- Understand cultural and behavioral science principles they can leverage, with a specific call to action, to allow a food safety and quality culture to prosper.

- Recognize the difference between traditional food safety / quality management versus a behavior-based food safety / quality approach.

- Strengthen food safety and quality as part of the organization's value or belief system, so that compliance is done the right way, every day, even when no one is looking.

- Improve the effectiveness of training, education, and communication efforts, and create smarter quality goals and metrics for the organization and their teams.

- Better use of both positive and negative consequences to influence behavior.

All attendees will be granted a certificate of completion at the end of the workshop.
