Off the Dribble and Swish Queer Basketball Club are teaming up for a community-forward celebration of queer joy, movement, and visibility.

Join us for Pride Basketball Day of Play — a high-energy celebration of basketball, joy, and community building.

Thisis a fully immersive basketball experience designed to celebrate Pride through play, connection, and joy. The event features a one-of-a-kind 3x3 tournament, crowd-favorite basketball mini-games, and interactive spaces for community building. This isn't just about getting buckets — it's about showing up, being seen, and celebrating queer brilliance on and off the court.

Rooted in sport and powered by community, the event also spotlights LGBTQ+ voices, uplifts queer-owned businesses, and creates space to hoop. Whether you're here to hoop, cheer, or connect, there's a place for you. Expect high-energy play, live music, local vendors, and vibrant moments that honor the resilience and joy of our community.

Whether you're here to ball out or just soak it all in — there's a way for everyone to join the fun. Important note:The 3x3 tournament and basketball mini-games will run concurrently, so we ask that participants SIGN UP FOR ONLY ONE to ensure everyone has the chance to play and engage fully.

3x3 TOURNAMENT: To honor the work of Off the Dribble in creating space for women, non-binary, and trans hoopers in Chicago, we're proud to host a 3x3 tournament centered on community, joy, and visibility. Eligibility: Open to women, non-binary, and trans players. Team sign ups are limited. Must sign up with a team. One person will sign up team of 3-4 and they will receive an email from Alondra Segoviano with more day of details

Team Size: 4 players max (3 on court, 1 sub).

Rules + Game play:Games will follow FIBA 3x3 rules with slight modifications. No shot clock. Continuous clock with no stops until the last minute. Games are single elimination. Half-court play, possession changes cleared beyond arc. Fouls tracked by team, not individual (2 unsportsmanlike = disqualification). Overtime: First to 2 points

MINI GAMES: Not into full games? Drop into fun, low-pressure basketball mini-games led by Swish Queer Basketball Club. Perfect for casual players or anyone who just wants to move and have fun. Dribble Knockout. Classic Knockout. Relay Races. Five-Star Shooting Challenges. Eligibility:Open to everyone and all levels.

Drop in anytime between 3-4:30 PM to join the games you love — no need to play in all of them! Come for the fun, stay for the community. We will not have a set schedule of the mini games so we encourage you all to come when does open to you do not miss your favorite game!
