About the Event
Join us for the 2nd session of our Newcomer Creative Exchange program to learn about programs & services Brampton Library offers newcomers.
Brampton Arts Organization (BAO)'s Newcomer Creative Exchange program is for newcomer artists, creatives, or cultural workers looking to continue their arts and culture careers in Canada. The program creates a space for these Brampton-based newcomers to gather, network, create, and learn together in a welcoming and supportive environment.
For the second session of the 2025 Newcomer Creative Exchange program, we invite local newcomer artists, creatives and cultural workers to join us for a field trip to the Brampton Library, Cyril Clark branch.
At the library, you will get a tour of the branch and learn about all the resources and services available to you. These include the Newcomer Bus Tour and the Maker Space, and online learning tools like Creative Bug as well as free arts and literary programming held at all nine library branches.
In addition, Building Multicultural Communities (BMC) will give an overview of the services they offer newcomers, such as settlement services, employment support, and youth and senior programs.
After the tour and presentations, you will have the opportunity to network and meet your fellow participants.
This session and all Newcomer Creative Exchange sessions are free for Brampton residents.
