About the Event
We're bringing live Jazz to the third floor of Beaches Sandbox in the heart of Toronto's Beaches neighbourhood! 19+
Beaches Sandbox presents an evening of live jazz featuring Maple Blues Award-winning saxophonist and composer Alison Young (quartet) and acclaimed multi-instrumentalist Evan Porter (quartet) on Saturday, June 7, 2025. Hosted by the hilarious Ryan Dillon this intimate concert is part of the Beaches Sandbox pop-up live music & comedy series and will be held on the third floor of Beaches Sandbox, in the heart of Toronto's vibrant Beaches neighbourhood.
All proceeds will support Beaches Sandbox's ongoing commitment to providing high-quality, accessible programs for all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.
Beaches Sandbox is an accessible facility.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Alison Young
JUNO-nominated and Maple Blues Award-winning saxophonist and composer Alison Young is a rising star known for her creativity and flair in playing. Young began playing professionally as a teenager, developing an affinity for blues, R&B, and jazz. She has an active presence in the Toronto music scene, leading her own ensemble, has appeared on over 50 recordings, and has toured internationally with various artists, including iconic pop star Corey Hart.
Evan Porter
Scarborough-born Evan Porter is a dynamic multi-instrumentalist and vocalist whose musical influences span jazz, R&B, soul, and pop. A graduate of Humber College's Introduction to Commercial Jazz program in vocals, he has toured across North America with artists such as Sylo (NPR Tiny Desk), The Arkells, Charlotte Day Wilson, and more. Evan also records globally, specializing in saxophone, bass, vocals, and voiceover.
Ryan Dillon
Ryan Dillon is a rising Canadian comedy star known for his clever wit and self-deprecating humour. Born in St. John's, Newfoundland, he honed his skills with The Canadian Improv Games before moving to Toronto to pursue stand-up. Early on, he was selected for The Second City's Tim Sims Fresh Meat Showcase, and his critically acclaimed one-man show Collapse had a sold-out run at the Toronto Fringe Festival. Ryan has been featured on Just For Laughs, Kevin Hart's LOL Network, Winnipeg Comedy Festival, and more. His debut album, Violently Nice, hit #1 on iTunes and airs on SiriusXM's JFL channel.
