About the Event
TVCC Youth with disabilities, 12 yrs +, who reside within Elgin/Middlesex, Huron/Perth, Grey/Bruce & Oxford County.
Join TVCC for another unforgettable night of fun, music, lights and celebration at the Disco Night Dance!
Whether you're coming to dance the night away or looking to meet new friends, this event promises a fun evening. Get ready to enjoy a great mix of upbeat tunes, disco classics, and exciting activities in a safe and friendly atmosphere.
We will have a photo booth, craft station, refreshments and treats, and much more!
Participant Criteria:
-TVCC clients and their siblings, cousins, and friends (ages 12 and up)
-Interest and willingness to participate in social dance
-Able to participate safely in a group setting; participants are welcome to have a support person present to assist them
-Youth are welcome to bring any adaptive equipment or support items to support their participation (i.e. noise reducing headphones, comfort items)
This program is hosted by TVCC Horizon's Youth Services and the TVCC Wellness Project. The Wellness Project is a three-year program aimed at rebuilding and enhancing mental wellness for youth and their families.
We understand that the past few years have brought unique challenges, and we want to help. We're running programs with a focus on connection, mindfulness, physical activity, and new skills.
Parents and caregivers are also welcome to stay on site and attend a concurrent informal parent program hosted by Wellness Project Parent Mentor and Social Worker. Feel free to enjoy a coffee, ask questions or simply chat and connect with other parents
