DESCRIPTION
Unlock your drawing potential with this 11-week Basic Perspective Drawing course! Perfect for beginners or anyone looking to refresh their skills, this course will guide you through one, two, and three-point perspectives, from drawing simple shapes to designing rooms, roofs, and exteriors. In the final weeks, you'll dive into isometric perspective, bringing your designs of plants, furniture, buildings, and vehicles to life. Each 3-hour session offers hands-on, step-by-step instruction to help you build confidence and elevate your artwork.
Duration: Every Saturday for 11 Weeks (2. 5 Months) From June 7, 2025 to August 16, 2025 (No Class on July 12)
Class Time: 3 Hours per Week (15 Minute Break)
In this course, students will master perspective drawing by learning to create room layouts, draw stairs, and understand object placement, composition, roofs, vehicles, and shadows in various perspectives, all while learning spatial design and building their confidence in composition.
Course Breakdown:
Week 1: Introduction to Perspective
Weeks 2-4: One-Point Perspective
Weeks 5-7: Two-Point Perspective
Weeks 8-9: Three-Point Perspective
Weeks 10-11: Isometric Perspective
INSTRUCTOR INFO
Patricia Claro is a passionate Filipino Canadian artist with over eight years of experience in illustration and seven years of experience as an art educator. Currently based in Ottawa, she specializes in traditional and digital mediums, specifically character design, environmental art, and both 2D/3D digital painting. Patricia holds an honours diploma in Illustration from Seneca Polytechnic, has a background in Interior Design, as well as Layout for Animation. Currently a freelance book illustrator with FriesenPress, she's excited to share her expertise in a hands-on, engaging workshop experience for aspiring artists of all levels.

Sketchbook: 11 x 14 (Sketch, Drawing, or Recycled)
Pencils: 2H, HB, 9B
Colored Pencils/Colored Lead Pencils: Red, Blue, Green
Additional Supplies: Ruler (12 inches OR 15 inches), 30/60/90 Triangle, 45/45/90 Triangle, Eraser
Optional: Grey Chisel Marker (Copic, Prismacolor, or Tombow)
