About the Event

Join naturalist/writer David Hawke for a presentation and guided hike at the Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre.

Anyone who has done a biological study of the land will know that sedges (grass-like plants) can reveal secrets of the soil. Although they visually blend in with other plants, sedges are beautiful in form and function. And when it comes to ‘reading the landscape' sedges can provide you with a amazing insights.

Join naturalist/writer David Hawke for a presentation and guided hike at the Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre. Using the Wye Marsh herbarium as a base, David has designed a unique way to easily identify the sedges of Simcoe County.
