About the Event
Bring out your inner DJ in an intergenerational program for seniors and adults.
We are excited to announce a new 7 week DJ At Any Age learning program on Thursdays from April 24th to June 5th 2025 at Oakwood Village Library from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Bring out your inner DJ in this intergenerational program for seniors and adults . Learn basic djing skills and connect with others over a shared love of music. Artist and educator Deejay Vee from At Any Age will teach you how to use a dj controller and software in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Interacting with fellow participants, you'll create and exchange playlists of songs that represent meaningful moments in your life.
At Any Age programs offers folks who are younger and older an opportunity to experience the joy of music through a variety of art forms. The Music & Memories in the Mix program series is intended to bring together adults of different generations to connect over their shared love of music while also learning basic dj skills. So whether you grew up during the birth of rock n' roll or the rise of hip hop and all other music genres, this may be the program for you!
Intended for an intergenerational adult audience of all ages, no prior experience needed. Seniors and older adults - we see you! Come on out!
The final session, June 5, will be a DJ performance opportunity for participants to show off their DJ sets.
Spots are limited. Registration is required. Registrants can choose to register as a single student or register to share a workstation with a family member or friend of a different generation.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Registrants who register for the April 24th date are registering for the entire 7-week course. If you are not able to register for the April 24th session but wish to participate at a later date, please call Oakwood Village Library at 416-394-1040 for more information.
