About the Event
Ensemble U:, Estonia's leading contemporary music ensemble, presents a groundbreaking concert at Innis Town Hall (2 Sussex Avenue, Toronto) on Sunday, May 25, 2025. This performance features the music of Canadian-Estonian composer Udo Kasemets, specifically his work 'Timetrip to Big Bang and Back' (1992). The concert incorporates augmented reality (AR) technology, allowing the audience to experience a cosmic journey through sound and vision. Ensemble U: will perform 'Messiermusics,' 'Harmonices Mundi of Johannes Kepler,' 'Galactic / Quasaric Supersonics,' and 'Hadrond,' using special instruments like the Columbine and Amaranth. Doors open at 4:00 p.m., with the 60-minute performance beginning at 5:00 p.m. (no intermission). Please arrive early to install the AR app. Tickets are 21.79 CAD (including taxes and fees). This concert is part of Estonian Music Week, running from May 22-25, 2025. This concert is made possible by the generous support of Alan Teder in memory of Udo Kasemets.
