About the Event
"Jazz is Dead," a world premiere conceived by Timea Wharton-Suri and co-commissioned by dance Immersion and Luminato Festival, features Grammy-nominated trumpeter Theo Croker and tap dancer Travis Knights. This dynamic performance fuses jazz, hip-hop, R&B, and live improvisation, offering a fresh perspective on jazz. The 60-minute show, followed by a 20-minute talk-back, takes place at the Meridian Arts Centre's Studio Theatre (5040 Yonge Street, North York) on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 8:00 PM. Tickets are $49, with discounted tickets for arts workers available for $35.
