Organized by Phuse Cream & Social Xchange Miami

šŸ“ The Urban - 1000 NW 2nd Ave, Miami, FL
šŸ—“ November 22, 2025 | 3PM-10PM

We all know — a meal ain't complete until you've had something sweet. šŸ°
Something Sweet is a one-of-a-kind festival celebrating Black-owned dessert brands, culinary creativity, and cultural flavor. This immersive festival brings together desserts, drinks, and demos that honor both tradition and innovation — all while promoting wellness and community connection during Diabetes Awareness Month

Enjoy a full day of indulgence and inspiration featuring:

- šŸ¦ Dessert & Drink Vendors - A curated lineup of local Black-owned businesses serving ice cream, pastries, cocktails, vegan sweets, and more.
- 🄧 Healthy Dessert Demo - A live cooking session led by a licensed nutritionist showing alternative ways to make desserts in a healthier way, including a lightened-up peach cobbler.
- šŸ° Cultural Dessert Presentation - A storytelling experience exploring the roots of traditional African-American desserts like sweet potato pie, banana pudding, peach cobbler, and tea cake, along with a look at the lost desserts from our history.
- šŸø Drink Demo - A fun and flavorful mixology class featuring a candy-inspired cocktail and a boozy milkshake.
- šŸŽ‚ Live Baking Demo - A special guest baker (TBA) bringing the heat with live dessert-making magic on stage.
- šŸ® Cake Decorating Class - A hands-on session where guests can learn cake decorating techniques and take home their sweet creations.
- šŸ† Dessert Competitions - Local bakers and chefs go head-to-head for titles like Best Ice Cream, Best Baked Dessert, Best Drink, Best Vegan Dessert, and Fan Favorite.
- 🩺 Diabetes Awareness Zone - Promoting balance, moderation, and nutrition awareness in partnership with local health organizations.
- šŸŽ” Kids Zone - Family-friendly fun and interactive dessert experiences for all ages.
- šŸŽ¶ Music, giveaways, and photo-worthy moments all day long!

Something Sweet is more than a festival — it's a celebration of flavor, heritage, and community that reminds us that balance and joy can both fit on the same plate.

Black Pepper Food & Wine

Black Pepper Food and Wine is more than just a festival; it's a movement dedicated to cultivating widespread awareness and encouraging intentional support of Black-owned businesses across all races and ethnicities. Our purpose is rooted in the power of community and collective economics. While the "Black dollar" is often cited as staying within the community for around 6 hours on average, Black Pepper Food and Wine offers a vibrant day where we come together for much longer to actively practice group economics.

Our festival showcases a diverse array of vendors spanning all types of cuisines and businesses. Attendees can immerse themselves in a dynamic atmosphere filled with engaging food and cocktail demonstrations, activations from Black-owned wine and spirit brands, appearances by influential food personalities, exciting competitions, and much more.

Join us at Black Pepper Food and Wine to experience the strength of our interconnected community, foster ambition and self-reliance, and witness firsthand our collective power to support, learn, and advance together.
