Presents: Book Gossip!
West Suburban Reading Council invites you to our annualBook Gossipevent on
November 12, 2025 at 5pm
Join us at Anderson's Bookshop in Downers Grove to learn about the newest and current books available to use within your classroom.
Kathleen March from Anderson's Bookshop will present the newest children's literature available as well as some current adult books for your reading pleasure.
Kathleen will also give suggestions and ideas on how the books can be integrated into the curriculum and be used with your students within the classroom.
Holiday Shopping
Get a head start. With the holidays fast approaching you might find the perfect book for holiday gift giving.
Teachers will receive a 20% discount.

New members will be contacted by our Membership Chair with registration information.
The Illinois Reading Council publishes newsletters and journals. These publications provide members with current news, events and research. Members also have access to empowering literacy webinars throughout the school year and opportunities to participate in online book clubs. Each member may join a local council of their choice. The price of joining the local council is included in the $45 fee. The Illinois Reading Council also holds a statewide annual conference each year. This event features many popular authors, exhibitors, and the opportunity to network with friends and colleagues from all over the state.
Members of West Suburban Reading Council receive discounted rates on all our literacy events, which included VIP access to special sessions and fun raffles.
