About the Event
See J.P. Soars And The Red Hots LIVE in concert at Safety Harbor Art & Music Center!
With his new album Brick By Brick, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist JP Soars reaffirms his determination to build his career step by step, a process reflected both in his growing discography and his deep connection with fans. Recorded in late 2022 and produced with Jeremy Staska at Studio 13 in Fort Lauderdale, the album showcases Soars' wide-ranging musical talents on everything from guitar and banjo to lap steel and cigar box guitar, alongside contributions from an impressive lineup of musicians. Set for release on June 30, 2024, as his first effort for Little Village Recordings, Brick By Brick traverses blues, gypsy jazz, roots rock, and tender ballads, highlighting Soars' expressive vocals and musical versatility. The album has already drawn critical praise, with Living Blues and Curt's Blues hailing its energy and eclectic style. This acclaim adds to an already decorated career that includes winning the Blues Foundation's International Blues Challenge in 2009, multiple Blues Music Award nominations, and chart-topping recognition. Alongside his powerhouse trio the Red Hots, Soars has electrified audiences worldwide, performing at festivals across Europe and South America, appearing on the Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise, and sharing stages with legends like Buddy Guy and Joe Bonamassa. Also a member of the blues supergroup Southern Hospitality, Soars has released six acclaimed albums over nearly 15 years, earning glowing reviews from Blues Blast Magazine and No Depression. Inspired early on by B.B. King and known for crafting his own cigar box guitars, Soars combines technical mastery with heartfelt humility, describing music as both a blessing and a calling: “The good Lord gave me a gift and I love sharing it with the world.”
