Join the Table: A Diaspora Thanksgiving Dinner
This Thanksgiving, let's gather for an evening of shared history, delicious food, and meaningful connection at "Join the Table."
We're hosting a special dinner for professionals of African descent across the diaspora in the Austin area to celebrate our heritage, our achievements, and the people who paved the way for us. Whether you identify as African, Black American, Afro-Caribbean, Afro-Canadian, Afro-European, you are most welcome to share your presence and story.

This event is held in partnership with a surprise collaborator who's also dedicated to celebrating the stories of the African diaspora.
š½ļø Our Mission: Share Stories, Deepen Understanding
Our mission is simple: to foster a deeper understanding of who we are as people of African descent by listening to each other's stories. We will move beyond professional titles to share personal histories and create a tapestry of connection that spans continents.

š Your Contribution: Bring a Dish, Share a Legacy
We ask guests to participate in two special ways to make this a truly communal and intimate experience:
1. Bring a Side Dish: Please contribute a Thanksgiving side dish or dessert that holds meaning for you or your family tradition. (The main course and drinks will be provided.)
2. Bring a Photo & A Story: In the spirit of gratitude and heritage, please submit a digital photo of a family member you are thankful for. During our streamed storytelling portion, you will be invited to share a brief story about their life or legacy and how it has impacted you.
3. After the event, we've got a surprise offer!
Let's create a space where every plate and every photograph tells a story, and every voice contributes to a vibrant collective history.
