About the Event
Los Angeles Motorcycle Campout
Campground Info
Located in the Los Padres National Forest, Campo Alto Campground has been the spot for the past five years and we chose it for its remoteness and camp vibes.
"Tucked away high atop the Cerro Noroeste, you'll find solitude, serenity and unsurpassed scenery as you lose yourself in a pleasant grove of Jeffrey pines at Campo Alto Campground. Campsites are spacious, the air is filled with a pine-sweet scent, and you will enjoy end-of-the-road privacy. Do your best to leave this natural setting just as you found it. The campsites have no barriers to block your view, so all tent campers fit well here." - Los Padres National Forrest website
The campground is at the end of Cerro Noroeste Rd, it's the last stop. Ride it until you can ride it no more. The road is paved to the campground.
Los Angeles Motorcycle Campout is a weekend ride & camp event.
Motorcycle campout is a little different from other kinds of motorcycle camping. One difference is the food & drink setup. We'll have water, drinks, beer & booze. We'll have food and snacks for everyone. We encourage you to leave your cooking gear and supplies at home. Use the space you saved for an extra sweatshirt or a blanket.
We'll have just about everything you'll need. Bring the personal items such as a tent, a sleeping bag or a blanket, a hammock, but you don't need to worry about things like firewood, sun tents and coolers. If you have a motorcycle camping chair, bring it, you'll probably use it.
