About the Event
Join us for free and paid whimsy-inspired activities both indoors and outdoors. In collaboration with the Master Gardeners and SAIL & more!
Indoor and outdoor activities for the whole family!
This event is run in partnership with the Region of Waterloo Master Gardeners and the S.A.I.L Student Art Innovation Lab at the University of Waterloo , Waterloo Public Library & The Waterloo Coin Society !
- Coin Collecting with the Waterloo Coin Society: Kids (and visitors) receive a FREE coin to start their collection, and can learn about how to start their coin collection.
- Story Corner in partnership with the Waterloo Public Library Enjoy a variety of Dragon and Fairy themed books, courtesy of the WPL.
- Dragon Scavenger Hunt: Follow the clues to find the Dragon! Use your map and solve puzzles to discover the Dragon's lair.
- Make a Dragon Egg: Free craft activity as part of Family Art Cart. Make a polymer clay dragon egg and decorate it with gems, shells, and treasures. Bake it in our clay oven and take it home!
- Treasure Swap: Leave a treasure, take a treasure! Bring a tiny treasure you no longer need in exchnage for a new one, or just take a free tiny treasure!
- Make a Seed Bomb with the Waterloo Region Master Gardeners: Combine earth, water, and wildflower seeds to create a wildflower explosion! Give pollinators a helping hand while adding the beauty of wildflowers to your garden and community.
Make a Treasure Tray to keep all your shiny things safe and sound! Each ticket includes 1 clay item that will go through the kiln. Open to all ages, anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult with a ticket.
This program is linked to the Community Garden at the Canadian Clay & Glass gallery. Get inspired by nature and connect with your community. Check out creative workshops linked to the garden.
