About the Event
Dealcoholized Beer Pairing with Various Fine Craft Chocolates From Around The World!
Dealcoholized beer is the new dork on the block that not everyone likes - just like me! The truth is though, dealcoholized beer has its place and can be a very aromatic and refreshing beverage. Beer & Chocolate go very well together (even better than wine!), so of course I had to combine the two for this unique tasting.
We will sample a range of craft chocolate (mostly single-origin dark bars), and then try the same chocolates again enjoyed with a sample size of dealcoholized beer. No samples will contain dairy (all vegan), gluten, or nuts (although I can't guarantee no traces of these).
We will learn together, it will be very interactive, there will be music, and there will be time for questions and purchasing bars if you wish. Anyone who loves to learn is welcome! Come with an open mind to try new and unique flavours.
Includes: Flight of 10 samples, dealcoholized beer samples.
Important! Please come hungry or have a very small meal beforehand, or have your meal after the tasting if possible. Being full limits your ability to taste. Please do not wear perfumes as this will also interfere with yours and others ability to pick up the aromas.
About The Chocolate : These are made by small founder-owned craft chocolate makers from around the world using fine flavoured cacao from ethical and transparent sources (above Fairtrade standards). Some ingredients are organic certified. If you have any dietary requests, please contact me. Check out my online shop at www.beantobarworld.com to get an idea of the chocolate I use.
About The Host : Working in chocolate since 2007, and is a chocolate sommelier, chocolateir, and chocolate maker. Created a bean-to-bar tasting compass, the bean-to-bar map app, and has hosted countless tasting and chocolate making classes over the years. Learn more at beantobarworld.com/about
If you can't attend this event, you can always book your own private tastings. Visit beantobarworld.com to book or contact me for any special themes or requests! Many tastings can be both in-person and virtual (ships across Canada & USA).
