About the Event
Learn or practice a new skill this summer at the AGB - a week in the studio of your choice between clay, photo and portfolio development.
Teen Clay Camp: Ages 13-18
Monday July 7 - Friday July 11, 2025
Cost: Members $300 and Non-Members: $325
Sign-in from 8:45-9:30am, sign-out from 3:30-4:00pm | (Campers can sign themselves in and out with parent/guardian permission) / Extended Care 4:00-5:30pm ($10/day/camper)
Expose your mind to photographic processes both experimental and traditional in this week-long exploration of photography. Led by the wonderful Sonya de Laat, campers will learn all the fundamentals of photography, from digital functions to composition to darkroom practices and more. The group will spend the day learning together, making trips into the gallery and surrounding areas to capture images. Campers will also be given the option to take an independent break at lunchtime (with signed parent/guardian permission).
Please note: If courses are purchased at member price, and membership is not active, you will be charged for the membership.
ART MATERIALS for children's classes are included in the registration fee.
WHAT TO WEAR? Wear something that nobody would mind if it came home dirty or stained - spills and splatters can and do happen! Closed-toe shoes are mandatory.
WHAT TO BRING? Snacks and a lunch that are nut-free. Campers may enjoy their meal at the gallery or go off-site if they have permission to sign themselves out.
ALLERGY OR SPECIAL NEEDS? Remember to notify us on your registration form if your camper has an allergy, health concern or learning disability that could impact participation in the studio. We want to ensure the best possible experience for all, so please let us know if accommodations should be made.
COVID-19 HEALTH AND SAFETY: Please review the AGB's COVID-19 safety guidelines on our website before attending your week of camp. All camp guidelines are subject to change in accordance with Provincial health mandates.
