Our final fundraising concert (and silent auction) for UK 2025

Two summers ago, we asked our singers whether they would commit to a performance tour in two years, and enough of them said “yes”. The next consideration was about how many dollars we could conceivably raise (our goal ended up being just north of $110k). In November of 2023, our leadership team agreed to go for it, and that it was time to start planning for our long-awaited residency in a UK cathedral. In just under 80 days, with God's help and favour, it's actually going to happen. This will be my eighteenth such residency (counting my times as a singer, organist, or conductor), and my first with Caelis (which was formed nine years ago this summer). How time flies. We will have a few more concerts here and there between now and the middle of July, but the big daddy of them all is “A summer side of life”, our *final* fundraiser and silent auction, as pictured in these two beautiful poster images. The afternoon will begin with the lighter stuff, with a variety of performances from choir members and small ensembles. Following the break, we will present “Choral Evensong in Concert”, featuring some of the music for our tour, and a few surprises besides. Please consider joining us on this afternoon, and as it happens to fall on Father's Day, save dad the tediums and rigours of the golf course and bring him to the show.
