About the Event
Authors Esther Zuckerman and Ilana Kaplan discuss the influence of the inimitable Nora Ephron on the rom com genre.
Join authors Esther Zuckerman and Ilana Kaplan to discuss the impact and legacy of Nora Ephron on one of film's most beloved genres, the rom-com. Our panelists will take an unfiltered look at Nora as champion of the rom-com and feminist Hollywood trailblazer.
Through her keenly self-aware humour and semi-autobiographical stories, Ephron left behind a groundbreaking legacy as a beloved journalist, essayist, screenwriter, author, producer, director, and feminist who delivered stories of resilience embedded in sharp wit and upper-crust landscapes. Through that lens, she became emblematic of rom-coms, shifting and redefining conversations around the complexities of relationships and the women who have them.
Q&A and book signing to follow. Books available for purchase.
