Handbuilding with Clay Workshop

Step away from the digital world and reconnect with the tactile joy of working with your hands in this immersive Handbuilding with Clay Workshop. Whether you're a complete beginner or someone looking to explore a new creative outlet, this workshop offers a warm, welcoming environment where you'll discover the fundamental techniques of ceramic handbuilding.

Over the course of the session(s), you'll be introduced to the three primary methods of handbuilding: pinch, coil, and slab construction. Each technique opens up a world of creative possibilities, allowing you to shape clay into a wide variety of forms—from simple cups, bowls, and plates to expressive sculptures and decorative vessels. You'll also explore basic surface decoration techniques such as texturing, carving, and applying underglazes or slips to personalize your pieces.

Under the guidance of an experienced ceramic artist, you'll not only learn the technical skills to work confidently with clay but also gain a deeper appreciation for the meditative and grounding nature of the craft. This workshop is less about perfection and more about exploration, experimentation, and the beauty of handmade imperfections.

All tools, materials are included in the course fee. No previous ceramics experience is necessary—just a willingness to try something new and get a little messy. At the end of the workshop, your pieces will taken home, leaving you with functional or decorative objects created entirely by your own hands.

Whether you're looking for a creative escape, a mindful hobby, or a unique gift-making opportunity, handbuilding with clay is a deeply rewarding way to express yourself and connect with others in a relaxed, supportive studio environment.

Come with curiosity. Leave with clay-covered hands—and something beautiful to call your own.

Optional glazing / firing additional cost.
