Step Back in Time at Monterey’s Beloved Holiday Tradition
Experience the magic of Christmas in the Adobes, Monterey’s premier holiday celebration. Co-hosted by Monterey State Historic Park Association (MSHPA) and California State Parks, this early-evening walking tour transforms more than twenty historic locations with glowing luminarias, festive décor, live music, and holiday cheer.
Stroll through Monterey’s earliest buildings, enjoy seasonal entertainment, and discover the stories behind these cherished landmarks. Many community partner locations open their doors to the public only during this event, making it a truly special experience for all ages.
Your participation helps preserve history: proceeds support educational history programs for local elementary students and overall support for education, research, interpretation and historic preservation to benefit the Monterey State Historic Park (MSHP).
Join us for this cherished holiday tradition that brings history to life and creates memories to share year after year.
Ticket Pricing
- Adult, Single-Night Ticket: $30 ($25 if purchased before November 1)
- Adult, Two-Night Gold Pass: $45
- Youth (17 and under): Free
Military and MSHPA member discounts are not available online. To receive these discounts, please purchase tickets in person at the Custom House Store or Pacific House Store.
Important Ticketing Information
- Online ticket purchasers must check in at one of the three designated will-call locations on the night of the event to collect their wristband and Christmas in the Adobes map.
- Print-at-home or mobile Eventbrite tickets will not be accepted at individual locations.
- The event will be held rain or shine; please dress accordingly.
- Refunds are not available.
