What “Gay for Brew” Might Be
Gay for Brew might be a lot of things. Ultimately, it will be what you make it be, so that ball is in your court.
Purpose & Vibe:
A gathering blending craft beer culture with LGBTQ+ inclusion. Think brewery, taproom, or bar setting, where people of all identities come together to enjoy beer, friends, music, maybe even drag or queer entertainment, all in a safe, welcoming space.
Activities:
- A curated selection of local craft beers, often from breweries known for supporting LGBTQ+ causes or queer ownership.
- Live entertainment: DJs, drag performances, queer artists, spoken word or poetry sets.
- Possible partner vendors: food trucks, merch, local queer-owned businesses.
- Sometimes, fundraising elements, such as raising money for LGBTQ+ nonprofits or charities, are involved.
