June Meeting for Members of Broadleaf Writers (Virtual Meeting)
Thursday, June 26, 2025 to Thursday, June 26, 2025
Writing is a solitary act, but we can't stay cooped up if we're going to get our stories out into the world.
Its no secret most writers are introverts. Unfortunately, today's publishing industry requires authors to put themselves out there. How do you navigate an ultra connected world?
Join us on Thursday June 26th on Zoom from 6:30pm - 7:30pm EST for the next Broadleaf Member Meeting focusing on Putting Yourself Out There: An Introvert's Guide to Marketing & Networking lead by author, storyteller, and Broadleaf board member Jessica Bowers.
Jessica has spent over 17 years developing public speaking, marketing, and networking skills. She writes under the name Odessa Blaine. Her debut novel, Where the Roots Tangle, is coming in Fall 2026 through Mercer University Press. One of her performance stories has been developed into a short film that has already won an award at the first festival it screened at. She credits those writerly accomplishments to connecting and navigate the right communities.
This will be a workshop style meeting. Attendees will learn how to craft a social media presence that isn't overwhelming, become active participants in community and conversations, and practice conversation starters along with learn ways to keep it going in a positive, productive direction.
If you would like to join Broadleaf Writers or renew your membership now, you can do so at https://broadleafwriters.com/become-a-member/ or during your registration process. Membership questions can be directed to Zachary Steele at zach@broadleafwriters.com.
We hope to see you there!
