Join us on November 27 at the Kingston Marriott as leading economists and experts from Smith School of Business at Queen's University present their economic forecast on regional, national and global scales.

Meet the Speakers

Blair Robertson

Finance expert; continuing adjunct lecturer at Smith School of Business

Blair Robertson is a Finance Expert and Continuing Adjunct Lecturer at Smith School of Business, Queen's University. With nearly two decades of global investment banking experience—including $100+ billion in transactions—he's held leadership roles in Asia and North America. Robertson teaches finance courses across MBA and undergraduate programs and serves as Expert in Residence at the Smith Career Centre, mentoring students for careers in finance. He speaks Mandarin and Spanish fluently.

Christopher Cotton

Professor of Economics, Jarislowsky-Deutsch Chair in Economic & Financial Policy at Queen's University

Christopher Cotton is Professor of Economics and Jarislowsky-Deutsch Chair in Economic & Financial Policy at Queen's University, where he directs the John Deutsch Institute for Economic Policy. His research spans economic policy, game theory, and evaluation of education and health interventions. Widely published in top journals, he works with governments and NGOs on program evaluation and policy implementation. Cotton previously taught at the University of Miami and holds a Ph. D. from Cornell University.

Shai Dubey

Negotiations, cross-cultural management, and business law expert; continuing adjunct lecturer at Smith School of Business

Shai is a faculty member at Queen's University, teaching negotiations and business law. After earning his Law Degree from Queen's in 1994, he practiced with major Toronto firms before becoming COO, General Counsel, and Board Member at Quicklaw Inc. He joined Queen's in 2006 and has held leadership roles with the United Way, Kingston Economic Development, and Community Futures Eastern Ontario, where he now serves as Chair and leads the SOFII investment review committee.
