Turn a simple side table into mosaic art! 6-week workshop covering design, cutting, adhesives & grouting. Materials included.
Mosaic Coffee Table Workshop
Turn a simple side table into a stunning work of art! In this 6-session workshop, you'll design and create your own mosaic table using mesh transfer techniques. This class is perfect if you already have some mosaic experience and are comfortable with the basic tools.
This is not only a mosaic table workshop—you will also learn the mesh technique, an essential professional method in mosaic art. The mesh technique for mosaics involves building a mosaic flat on fiberglass mesh and then transferring it to its final location, which is ideal for large, vertical, or complex projects.
✨ Cost: $390+ HST
➕ Side Table: $30 + HST (payable at the first session)

⚠️ Due to supplier availability, only the black version of the table is provided. If you'd like a different color, feel free to bring your own — just make sure it's no larger than 17” in diameter.
What you'll do:
- Prepare your design on 17” diameter paper (bring ideas or collaborate with me to create one!)
- Learn cutting, adhesives, substrates, design/layout, mesh transfer, and grouting
- Work with a wide variety of mosaic materials (all supplied for use during class)
- Create a beautiful, functional mosaic coffee table to take home
Workshop schedule:
- Week 1: Prepare mesh, finalize design, choose colors, and start gluing
- Weeks 2-5: Gluing, gluing, gluing! By the end of Week 5, your mosaic will be installed on the table
- Week 6: Grouting and finishing touches
⌛ Depending on your design, extra studio time may be available before the 6th session (by reservation).
